CONCEPT:
S.H.A.R.E. is an acrostic that stands for Serving Him And
Reaching Everyone. We
serve Christ by ministering to all kinds of people with the goal of reaching
everyone in the world with the message of Christ.
Our focus will be mainly on the impoverished Third World people groups
who know that they are hungering for a better quality of life economically and
perhaps don’t know that they are also hungering for a better quality of life
which can only be found in Christ. In
that regard we will give them what they want, which is livelihood skills
training, in order to present them with what they need, which is Christ.
AFFILIATION:
S.H.A.R.E. Institute falls under the direction and supervision of Sports
& Rec Plus. Its purpose and function are compatible to and coordinated
with the ministries of Share Lab, Share Ministry, and other sports and
recreation outreach ministries of Sports & Rec Plus.
ORGANIZATION:
S.H.A.R.E. Institute is a training organization that is directed by
Barbara Mitchell. Those who feel called by God to participate in sharing skills
and thereby sharing Christ will make application.
Upon acceptance, they will be trained in the skill that is needed on the
field and how to present the Gospel message in a non-threatening, life-style
manner that complements the particular skill they are teaching.
Effective teaching methods and evangelism styles will be taught and
rehearsed by the students before their certification as a S.H.A.R.E. Institute
Master Teacher.
PLAN OF ATTACK (ACTION!):
1.
Sports & Rec Plus will identify the mission points that are
requesting the ministry of S.H.A.R.E. Institute.
2.
Sports & Rec Plus will publicize the need for Master Teachers
including dates and places. It will
distribute and receive applications, and evaluate them for acceptance as they
relate to the need. Prospective
Master Teachers will be accepted for training both in response to a specific
need and also in anticipation of possible future need.
Our focus is on training for the mission field and not just teaching
crafts for their sake alone.
3.
There will be a charge to cover costs to Sports & Rec Plus for the
use of the facility, teaching supplies, and other expenses directly related to
the class. Grants or donations may
partially cover these costs.
4.
All training begins with a basic class that will explain the concept and
the techniques of witnessing that are unique to this format.
5.
Upon completion of training, the student will be certified as a Master
Teacher and will receive a certificate and a Cloisonne lapel pin.
We recommend that the local church hold a commissioning service for the
purpose of presenting the certificate and pin to those who successfully complete
the training.
6.
We strongly encourage participants to become qualified in more than one
skill because their versatility will enhance their effectiveness on the mission
field.
